3rd Sunday of Advent (Year B)

Psalm text (Lk 1:47-48,49-50,53-54)

My soul rejoices in my God.

My soul magnifies the Lord
and my spirit rejoices in God my Saviour,
for he has looked with favour on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed.

For the Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.

The Lord has filled the hungry with good things
and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy.

Gospel Verse (Lk 4:18)

The Spirit of the Lord now upon me has sent me to bring good news to the poor.

Psalm text (Lk 1:46-48, 49-50, 53-54)

My soul rejoices in my God.

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord;
my spririt rejoices in God my Savior;
for He has looked upon His lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed.

The Alimighty has one great things for me,
and holy is His name.
He has mercy on those who fear Him
in every generation.

He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich He has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of His servant Israel
for he has remembered His promise of mercy.
